Ex blocked me and now a random private account is watching my Instagram stories.. is it him? Do people do this?

So he blocked me last Saturday (not this most previous one, the one before) and we ended that day. I know a year ago he had a fake Instagram account before he and I were anything because he followed it on his main account. Anyways, I just noticed today a new account watched my Instagram story, the account is private, 0 posts has 20 followers and follows 17 which are probably all fake accounts, and the account does not follow me. Is there any way I can find out if it’s him? Do guys do this to check on girls if they blocked them? I have some burner accounts for this but I don't know if guys do it or how common it is.

/accepted to look real/ when you make an acct you get random follows anyways
