+1 yYou've liftophobia? Same here. There's no way to lift the fear of elevators off of me, but life can go up or down.
Also terrorists. Hope Allāh will damn them in jahannam.
Centipedes. Those big hairy creatures with too many legs give me the heebie-jeebies.
I'm also very paranoid of schizophrenia.
14 Reply- +1 y
Yea I know they’re really safe but I’m still scared lol. I had one in New York that went up before I pressed the button! That FREAKEd me out!
- +1 y
I don't like millipedes and centipedes either. I find them scary.
- +1 y
@PBandJ_Nerd millipedes are all right for me as their legs are shorter
- +1 y
Anna, i wouldn’t bet on that. I’ve read about a lift that gets stuck and when pressing the emergency button, it goes SIDEWAYS. the book is a Goosebumps book by R L Stine.

+1 yLiving forever, that is a huge fear of mine... life is hard enough as it is, I would hate to be immortal.
48 Reply- +1 y
I would love that
- +1 y
Being immortal would mean, I'd have to watch everyone I know and love die before me, plus I'd have to work forever. I can't even imagine working a hundred years, ugh. Unless I somehow became super rich, even then... a few thousand years, I'd get way bored.
At least it will end someday, so all is well. - +1 y

@Berethor I hope so, as energy cannot be destroyed.

I have fear of closed spaces and heights. I don't know about closed spaces but I actually fell down so I am very careful around edges of buildings. I don't know why but I also seem to have problem with personal space. I don't like handshakes with anyone or them trying to hug me. I mean people do it here but I just don't put my arm around them 😅. Just not me

@HippieVeganJewslim May be but I really hate someone trying to shakehands. I am happy in winters. I Have gloves and don't have to take off gloves.
- +1 y
So are you scared of elevators too because they are up high and enclosed.
- +1 y
Often claustrophes fear lifts, so probably.
- +1 y
I feel like You do often, Ameer.
- +1 y
Shrinking. As in, losing height even half an inch. Seriously.
Although if you want a more detailed explanation to that, it's physical weakness. Short/small people are weak. So in a roundabout way, I'm saying being physically weak and helpless, is my true fear. Which is just one reason I loath being the height I am - 180 cm - as much as I do. Just one reason out of dozens, though.I'm not afraid of anything else in life, including death.

I can relate to your fear but I try to ignore it.
I live in a country where most elevators are old and rusty, they are the kind with the door isn’t attached to elevator each floor has a door.
And sometimes I see holes 🕳️ on the floor
13 Reply12.8K opinions shared on Other topic. I am afraid of heights. If I have to go up in a tall building i have to really psyche myself up to get in the elevator. I went up in the Empire State Building and really had to make myself angry to go up in it.

@Andres77 LOL, “Let’s have a BBQ, invite all the neighbors we don’t like, and let nature take it’s corse?” Absolutely hilarious! I want you to understand precisely HOW MUCH trust I actually had in you that allowed me to watch that video! Because deep inside me, I was convinced that it was gonna be some awful video w/ snakes in it! I’ve had so many so-called friends send me videos with titles like “cutest bunny EVER!” Then when I clicked on it, yeah I was a bunny, until the friggin snake jumped out of nowhere and killed and ate the bunny! So I was REALLY putting a LOT of faith in you that you wouldn't trick me. But im glad you didn't that was very funny. I like some of the dry bar stuff.

I’ve eaten portions of three snakes, by the way. 1st was in one survival school in the army so we’d know what it tasted like.2nd was in another survival school in the army because after 4 days we’d eaten a few cobs of corn and a snake, one panfish and some acorns. 3rd because a local wanted to share his food with us while we were training in the jungles of Venezuela before Hugo Chavez destroyed the place.
- +1 y
@Andres77 Oh wow, that’s incredible! You are clearly a VERY proud daddy! Wit you being so active in their lives, I’m sure they are both very fine young women. The only girls I knew in high school who had difficulties, especially where boys were concerned, were the girls with barely any relationship with their dad’s. A father is SO important to a teenage girl especially! It’s almost like if daddy doesn’t give her the appropriate affection and attention, they seek inappropriate affection from boys! Myself and your daughter’s were very lucky in that way. Good for you! (Seriously).

I told my oldest that one day soon I’m going to meet her when she gets out of work and we’re going to pretend that she went in a ditch and she’s going to camp out “by herself” so I can see how she does and we’ll see what else we need to pack in her trunk so she’ll be ready in case of an emergency.
Of course I’ll help her but I want to see how she does on her own before I step in. The first time you use your emergency gear should not be when you’re in need. It should be routine
+1 yHeights and escalators... partly because final destination and partly because I seen a video of a mother fall in and someone saved her son for her but couldn't save her I think in china or something...
