If you have apologized and later on continued to do the same thing, then your apology means NOTHING, and the other person has every right to bring it forth again.

If you did change your behavior, have apologized and the other person keeps mentioning your violation, then you clearly aren't forgiven, even if they did "give" you forgiveness. In that case, the fault is with the other person.

Remember: Forgiveness is a contract. You are forgiven on the grounds that you have apologized and promised a changed behavior.

If this happened only once and has not been a repeated offense then yes, it is over the top to keep bringing up one violation. We should move on after an apology and forgive. Forgetting about it usually takes much longer. I doubt that relationship will ever be restored.

You can be careful with your acts towards this person, to feel more confident that it won’t happen again. If you were forgiven for whatever regression, wrongdoing and haven't ever repeated it then yes bringing it up after certain time means you've haven't forgiven. The person that decided to forgive made the choice to forgive, knowing they can't bring it up after a long time passes.

No unless what the person did poses a risk of them doing it again under a situation where it's important that it dies not happen.

So for example gloating over the person because they make mistakes or can't do something is bad.

But telling them they can't do x thing for you, or be around x thing, because they are clumsey or don't know what they are doing, is fine.

if they use it against you after they agreed to forgive you and move on, then that means they’re holding a grudge and that they haven’t moved on from it... in that case, the issue has to be addressed again, since it’s obviously still an issue for them, because once you agree to move on, you move on…

For example, if you apologize to your girlfriend for cheating on her, then one day you decide to get mad at her for laughing with another guy at a party, she has every right to mention the fact that you're the one who cheated and you need to calm the hell down
