Have you ever had an experience with the uncanny Valley in real life?

What I got to my enlisted school in the navy, there is a picture of a famous officer whose name I forget that stands behind one of the security posts. When you're standing there at 3 AM the eyes seem to follow you. Almost all the buildings on base have ghost stories Whether suicides or accidents.

It's a wooden one, of those that are very detailed whose eyes were separate pieces. A human doll more than a proper mannequin.
My mother used it to prank me a couple of times and I hated the thing since.

Something that looks human, but looks or feels wrong somehow. Like a person with bigger eyes than normal, hyper realistic robots, something with odd body proportions etc.

Its actually ingrained in humanity to have fear or unease over such things, like how people tend to fear the dark

I understand fear, fear of the dark, fear of monsters and things we aren't familiar with... which is security. I understand, shame, and other emotions. I can understand fear of odd... what we aren't comfortable with.
