My date wouldn’t share a straw?

I went on a first date with a guy. We were having a drink each with a straw. I offered if he’d like to try my drink. He didn’t want to use my straw and changed his for mine. I would have taken a sip from his straw🤣 can you catch things from straws? Do you think he was afraid of catching something?

Some people have a strong taboo about sharing with strangers. My friends don't care -- we regularly taste each other's drinks.

We all have a thing with using someone else’s straw or fork even unless you’re an exclusive couple for a long time and or married
