Believe it or not, bragging isn't always bad. It depends on the situation more than anything.
At least from my perspective, there are two times it's okay, and actually encouraged to brag: when you're applying for and interviewing for a job, as you need to boost your positive traits to get noticed.
And assuming your job does this, on your yearly job evaluations/review, where you discuss what you did for said company to justify deserving a raise and/or promotion.
Basically brag (when it's called for) in the corporate world, perhaps even academically, in order to get ahead, attain career you want, or money.
Don't brag just for the sake of doing so, putting others down, or making yourself feel important.
There is a sweet innocent bragging that comes from being proud about own accomplishments. "Look I finally have my... degree" "Guess who can do... now?"
"my pet is the best" "my parents are so awesome! ..." etc. Just so sweet!
And then there is the alpha male bullshit bragging that literally no one likes.
We don't care about your car and "how much" money you make. I know so many stupid people living the "high" life and bragging with materialistics that they just leased or something. Nobody cares. No you're not awesome and a great catch if all you care for is money, status and having a big dick.
Yeah bragging is bad cause bragging and talking about your accomplishments are two different things. The like between them is very thin but you can feel the difference in how a person says it.
Often the language and tone makes difference between someone talking about an achievement they're proud of as compared to someone trying to present themselves as something great
It's baked into the word, right? Bragging and boasting are, by their very definitions and connotations bad.
The good versions are other words or collections of words. "Listed accomplishments" "Discussed how overcame challenges" "Won X, Y, or Z" -- they're statements of fact.

I don't usually like it so I picked A. If someone is bragging/being arrogant about their acheivements, it means that they are also trying to make someone with less feel bad aobut themselves. That's mean to do! Humility is no longer popular and is probably more rare now. I don't really know.
It's a me, me, me, look at me society after all. Look at me and what I have done and acheived. Therefore I DESERVE more appreciation and likes than that guy/gal over there with less! And unfortunately, like they say, people are SHEEP and will like it only because they're also mean and don't really care that much about the person with less! I think. Good question.
"Papa! If I score 85% above then bring me that new book of Ruskin Bond, if I bring 90% above then bring me a novel set of 2 and if I score 95% above then bring me a novel set of 4! I'm sure I got 95% above"
"I won't make any deals without knowing your score first."
"Alright, then I also won't score good further if you don't order the novel set now. I am not bragging but I am sure I score more than you in your times. You should be careful with me:)"
"Hey! That's unfair!"
"Nah, this is business."
"And which kind of tactic is it?"
"Well, I don't know. I'm doing this cuz I'm a business man's daughter."
A typical conversation with my dad after my exams are over lol. It's upto you if you consider this as a bad or good bragging. Yeah I got what I wanted since I scored 96.73%!
Let me explain it this way:
A man Bragging about how "good" he is in bed or about his woohoo size gets this 🙄🥱😠 reaction... It's an absolute turn off and a definite guaranteed I won't be seeing him as dating material.
A Man who brags how cute his cat is how sweet his grandmother is, how wonderful his father is or how smart his kids are would have me putty in his hands (if I wasn't secretly composing myself). I would certainly lean to saying yes to a date with him.
yeah his wahoo size may be yawn worthy buuut... what about his kazooo size?
eh eh? lol
and my cat is definitely the cutest!
I bragged about my health improving and bragged about being able to do regular tasks like being able to leave my house and stand on my feet for longer than 10 minutes after I spent 1-2 years in & out of hospital and almost dying. I feel like that is a good thing to brag about.
Good for you. That's definitely something to brag about. I'm glad your doing better.
I don’t think I have ever bragged. I rather just do it.
Now if someone is accusing me of both doing ANYTHING or enough, then I whip out the list of duties and certifications lol
They DO NOT want to see attorney rose. I may forget a lot of things but-

There’s literally just no need to brag. I don’t like it when people brag. You never know what someone is going through and what you say could trigger them.
Ill make sure to brag about my chess skills to you personally later then
Jk lol
Haha
@Still-alive
I'm amazing. You know this. I piss perfection.
That's a brag.
Perfect pee trajectory definitely 😏
I just peed on you all the way from Kentucky
Amazing talent. I ain’t even bothered lol
Bragging is a good thing but without restraint can be vanity and hubris. If someone constantly toots their own horn, then it can be seen that they don't acknowledge someone else's feelings or appreciation.
If a person is really happy about their accomplishments like passing an exam or winning a big account, then that is good. If they brag just to belittle someone else then that's not acceptable.
I do Not Brag But let Tell The Truth of Whatever IT IS IT Is. lolxxoo
Only if its used as a trick to promote something good... not with the intention of bragging but just w the style of bragging
I think it could be good when you’re talking to your parents
I dont think snyone should bragg.
