To be a pharmacist or veterinarian
Have you got to be intelligent and hard working?

These are two professions I’m interested in.

Absolutely, there’s a pharmacist shortage so you’ll make bank but you do have to go to medical school. You may also put in very long days and weeks and months due to demand and supply. You also have to have very good memory because you will be expected to know everything about every medication and its interactions. But due to the incentives pharmacies will pay because of the shortage, you won’t have trouble getting a nice paycheck.
Veterinarians I’d imagine are also very in demand because depending on the area, they make work with traditional pets, agriculture animals, exotic animals, and I’d imagine that’s also a lot. It would be hard to treat animals sometimes because they don’t quite communicate as easily as human patients. I hear it’s stressful and gory, I had a coworker who wanted to be a vet tech but quit in the first week of school because she couldn’t handle blood/graphic scenes.
Between the two, I would choose pharmacist as long as you’re willing to put in a ton of hard work in medical school and beyond. You will also be expected to constantly continue your education as more drugs and information in science become available. But you would get paid very well and I think pharmacists generally consider it rewarding, based on my interactions with the pharmacists where I used to work. It is very stressful.

You say that like those jobs don't require certification of specific education. Pharmacy tech certification requires an undergraduate degree (AKA bachelor's degree) and the full-time student program takes anywhere from a 12 to 16 months. Vet school requires a minimum of an undergrad degree and 4 years of veterinary school. You need to be at least an undergrad to even be considered for those programs usually.

No, those majors are easy, the college majors where you need to be smart are statistics, nursing, systems engineering, or medicine.

I went to school to be a pharmacist and my best friends a vet. You definitely need some knowledge.
