Long ago, I had the bad luck of meeting the wrong person in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Everything was wrong from the start. I've bumped into a real life sociopath (the minority that's only 3% of the male population, dammit) that fakes emotions and has little to no remorse.
Damages done to me:
- Scamming me... I'll never get my money back
- Wasting my time/years (future faking)
My parents and a couple others think I got off lightly in comparing to what other things could've happened to me such as getting a permanent STD, getting my pregnant and him bailing out, become another missing woman statistic and a bunch of other horrible things.
He still damaged me but do you think I got off easy like they say?

Well that’s pretty bad. But not being with him anymore. Yeah that’s good
yeah, in the end he even owed his mother money too. It sucks I can get my money back, that he promised it was for marriage.
Asker depending on how he scammed you you may be able to sue and/or pursue criminal charges depending on the situation.
Yeah he sounds like a shitty person
That's what I'm trying to find out. He lied about his real age for so long ago. He's a legal resident and the only reason he can't ever get his citizenship is because he has the incorrect year on the documents. From my understanding, I believe that would be immigration fraud and a possibly reason for deportation, even charges. It took me years to discover this.
That money I lent him was so he can pay it to the immigration lawyer to work on our case for a marriage visa, so we can come, be together, have kids and eventually bring me to Miami, FL. All that was a scam.
I've spoken with his own mother once. All of them already obtained their US citizenship, all his siblings and parents.. except him. The lady was wondering why he's the only child that doesn't work on getting his US citizenship, that he's lazy and owes her money too. The lady had no idea about any of our future plannings, nor the money nor marriage plans, nothing. She was totally clueless about everything.
When someone is lying about stuff like that it’s best to let them go. There really disgusting
He may have only been with you for some kind of green card deal
Yes you definitely did and it was a lesson learned hopefully
True. My update is how twisted he was. In the end he cheated the whole time and there were a couple times, he insisted that we do it without protection. Evil bastard for sure. He was playing with my health, my life at that moment.
When I realized what he was, I was do disgusted and furious I've stumbled upon a horrible person.
Hey I’ve been there before, just last year. It sure does get better. In a year you will be happy you let that situation go
My family, friends and I are very glad when I got rid of him and blocked him. It's sad I won't get my money back, the money he promised it was for marriage.
I'd have to hear his side of the story first. It could be him that got off easy 🤷♂️
I still the physical evidence of the scam he pulled on me, all the receipts. Besides I spoke to his own mother (by accident), the lady had nothing positive to say about her child. He owed her money too. That was the red flag right there. She pretty much exposed him too.
I guess you're fortunate to be rid of him at ther very least
