Probably. It was take some time to move on. People could have ended up with several other people, it's all just a matter of circumstance. If you were single, instead of your current relationship, you might have pursued someone else you know and ended up marrying them.

I do know someone who lost his wife, and he swears that she was the only one for him, and has no intentions of being with anyone else ever again.
