No. The farthest I would go, if my surname was "Oak", would be to name the kid "Rowan", since, you know, that's actually a NAME. I'll admit that I was disappointed that Jessica Biel declined to name either of her children "Batmo", but I think they took their father's name, so that wouldn't've worked, anyway.
Incidentally, I've heard the story (and I obviously don't know whether it's true) that Kevin Bacon was working on Tremors when his wife was having their first kid. Supposedly, she had a familial expectation that her firstborn would be named "Macon", after an old family friend, but Kevin refused, saying he would NOT name a child "Macon Bacon". 1989 was a different time, but I still have to respect a Hollywood celebrity for refusing to give a child a stupid name. Also, he and his wife are apparently still married today, so bonus points.

I voted no, but to be fair, I also wouldn't name my child Robert, Carla, Megan, Scott, Harley, Nolan, Fiona, Lissandra, Desiree, Sarah, or hundreds of thousands of other names that I don't consider options.
Nothing against those names for other people, they just don't speak to me, and I'd just as soon name my child Atlas as Bob. In fact, of the two, I would give Atlas preference. But I wouldn't name my child either one by choice.

I dislike all the Oak, Oakley, Oakland names. But I really can't speak much on this cuz I did almost name my son Arbor (like a tree so similar to oak) but decided against it pretty fast after he was born cause I just couldnt visualize him being a grown man with that name

Oh no! That's cruel and nonsensical! I would never do something like that. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

I think Atlas is a cool name but definitely not Atlas Oak lol
Well, it's... masculine. But it sounds like the stage name of a porn star or professional body builder name. LOL The kid is going to have a lot to live up to.
I like Oak, but as someone who grew up in the 90s having to use an Atlas for school, I think it's like calling a child VHS 🤣
OMG that is something else that's as bad as someone naming their child Apple I knew this couple who named their grand-child after they adopted her, Darling
My kid named his kid Michael Jackson... That was just a mean thing to do.
Nope, think of a little kid in the third grade and what the other kids will call him.
Nope, to old to have a child at my age
That's just wrong
That name Oak is a very symbolic name. It means a sought after weapon capable of killing an evil yet immortal person.
The world Atlas means Global. So together it means a Global evil destroyer. That is a noble name.I would never do that to my child. He's going to be picked on for the rest of his life unless he decides to change it
No, of course not.
Although, it is not as bad as one of my friends naming her son Justin!
Why is that bad? Her last name is :Case:! :-)
Like the little guy slapping his/her forehead. Just no what were you thinking?
I actually think Oak sounds kinda cool, but not a fan of Atlas. 😅
Nope, but I don’t laugh at others for their names either, it would be so boring if everyone had a same name.

People, please keep in kind that when you name your child something, that is their name for life. For. Life.
Nope I’ve actually taken time to consider my children’s names just because I belong to a community of people that are very creative when it comes to names
Hell no. Bizarre names are just. . . bizarre.
Sounds like Lance Goodthrust or Chat Pumpmaster or some other male escort name.
Not much first choice but I would not be an absolute no on it.
If my surename is Oaks..
Then my Son is getting a Name That ends in letter C. So it sounds Like "Cocks" or Cock
Gigantic Oaks, Grandic Oaks.
It's definitely unique, and won't be confused with other kids when growing up. It's not my first choice in a name, but I'd have no problems with it.
