Is it common for a dog to beat itself up?

My dog is constantly smack him face or snout on doors walls while turning around. About a week ago he had what I call a go crazy mode where he’ll run in circles all excited. About a week ago, he got into one of those modes which he frequently gets in and ends up running headfirst into a couch. Is it common for dogs to do this or is it just golden retrievers?

trust me I don’t beat my dog I spoil the crap out of him he just doesn’t seem to have awareness of how close he is to the wall. I might make some mistakes by feeding him too many pigs ears in which case he has diarrhea but it’s about it.

No I will not relinquish my dog. I’m not making anything up, I’m a single man who cares about my dog very much. Frankly he’s the only reason I’m not getting in my case and moving to a conservative state in which case I would be homeless he sleep with me every night he gets let out every day when I’m at work (granted it’s an old man with his own dog) I get him checked up twice a year so he is healthy. He is the most friendly kindest dog you could ever meet. I spoil him sure I play with him when I get home all the time and bed w before work and when I get home I’ve never made anyone up about my dog. Go ahead call animal survivors. He has a perfect life he is a very happy dog he is spoiled beyond belief he’s a very happy dog my name has been the same on this site for 8 years.

Like what the hell am I supposed to do with him and sit in my car for eight hours a day? Every single time he needs a vaccination. I feed him tick and flea medication so that he doesn’t get ticks or fleas. dogs will do some crazy stuff, but maybe it's got some visual issues.
