I may burn a bit at the beginning of the season until my tan gets built up, or if I subject myself to too much sun at once, but I usually build up a pretty awesome tan in a fairly short period of time.
12 Reply- +1 y
yea usually people that aren't pale end up tanning and pale people burn, just testing the theory lol

+1 yIf I'm not out in the sun for a long time I tan but if I'm outside in the sun for a long time I get a sunburn like one time a few years ago I spent the day at an amusement park with some friends and I got really sunburned and the sunscreen didn't help and after seeing a doctor I found out I'm actually allergic to the chemicals in sunscreen
11 Reply- +1 y
oof, what exactly happened with your allergy tho? π€
+1 yMy tan has always been brown even though my skin is naturally very fair. But I've been avoiding sun for a couple years and now my skin has become more sensitive. As a kid I used to be quite dark but I spent a lot of time on fresh air. Now my skin look kind of Asian.
11 Reply- +1 y
well Asian can go from olive to extremely pale but since youve mentioned you can tan im going to assume you mean like olive skin right
2.8K opinions shared on Other topic. I have Irish heritage with some northwestern European. I have white skin but I always tanned easily. There have been times in my life when I was as brown as a berry. Once tan, I can stay out in the sun all day, like when I was a surfer.

i heard irish and i was like he turns red and then you beanboozled my ass when you said you tan, mindblown lol

+1 yI wear 30 or 50 spf sunscreen so I don't burn. My skin darkens just a bit over time. If I didn't wear sunscreen, I would burn... pretty bad... but that would be stupid.
13 Reply- +1 y
so your sunblock helps you tan? π€
- +1 y
@mementomori777 Sort of. I never tan but my skin does get slightly darker, which I notice because the skin under my watch is whiter.

well of course, why would you torture yourself with hot water after burns but why not use some sunblock?
3.1K opinions shared on Other topic. I wear SPF 7000 sunscreen whenever I think of it, and keep my shirt on.
13 Reply- +1 y
what does SPF stand for? π
- +1 y
I think it's "Solar Protection Factor" but I could be wrong about the S. The maximum is maybe 50 or 60. The idea is that if you are adequately covered, it increases the time to burn by that factor. So if you would normally burn in 15 minutes, but wear 60 SPF sunscreen, it would take 15 hours before you burn. Of course if you swim, then you will need to reapply it each time you get out of the water.
- +1 y
they should make water proof versions of that stuff tbh
