What's the nicest thing you've done for a stranger?

Question

During Christmas one time me and my mom went out and bought hygien products, food and information for homeless people on where they can get more food, a shower and so on in a gift bag. We made like 7 of them and went around looking for homeless people.

It was really fun I'd do it again.

Please share yours! And am not sharing for pitty. I wanna be anonymous for that reason!

This guy at my high school missed a lot of work/days due to a VERY serious condition he had. He wasn't going to graduate unless all of it was completed by a ridiculous deadline.

I never knew the guy, but we had mutual friends, so I contacted him and did all his math work he had left. Stayed up till 3 am on a school night doing it and sent pictures of the work, so he could copy it.

We're young and still kids even at 18/19. This is a lot for anyone my age to handle and he already lived out on his own too at 18, so I figured he needed a break. I know others chipped in too for his other classes, which helped him graduate with the rest of us.

A few years ago I got caught out atwork by snow. All trains home were cancelled so i had to go catch a coach. As I was sat on coach a woman got on and was told the driver could only take cash. I knew the local cash point was out of order so rather than watch her leave the bus and possibly miss potentially the last chance of getting home for the night I paid for her ticket. Was only £20, but just felt like it was the right thing to do.
She took address and paid me back. But I wouldn't have minded if she didn't.

My friends and I used to make care baskets, with feminine hygiene products, non perishable foods, some giftcards, vouchers to salons (partnered with the organization that ran it) sample bags of kibbles for those who had pets. All for the homeless population. That was back in 2017-2019. Unfortunately cost of living makes it difficult to help now.

I also came across a couple that were homeless with their dog, I helped them find a home, gave food my dog didn’t like and helped her get a better job.

Just talk nicely to them. That’s all I can do.  I’m a stupid and useless person so I can’t do much. I’ll just give people the best I can.

My wife and I have (sort of) done that before. We've made meal kits with sandwiches, fruit, water, and other assorted items and given them to people we see on the streets. We don't make them specifically to go out and look, but more to keep on hand for that reason, in case we see any.

Gave one a free ticket to a rock festival and prevented another one from getting beaten up even more while already being on the ground.
