Why do some people claim they don't want to be around others?

Saw a girl on here say she would rather just not be around people

Humans are social creatures, we actively seek out companionship, and love and all that. It's what makes us human, as opposed to large cats like cheetahs (cheetahs don't mate for life, and are solitary animals)

So, why claim you don't, when you know you really do?

I'm legit that way. Even if I didn't have this ear sensitivity issue, I still would prefer to be alone. Far away from the drama of differing opinions & harmful actions.

Not to say that it would always be bad. It's just my preference to not have to deal with the possibility of drama & unnecessary stress. And I've found that I don't have that when I'm alone.

Honest to God. I do wish I wasn't this way since it doesn't really help build relationships. But I'm legit a-okay with no social interaction. I used to be a shut-in. So I didn't leave the home for years at a time. I'd get my groceries shipped, I'd workout from home, etc.

People that say such things are generally very off-putting and have poor social skills. So after failing many times and not learning from thier mistakes they typically just conclude it's everyone else's problem retreat into thier own little world and then complain about it incessantly on the internet.

Typically the detriment to most of these people is they're narcissists. They can't interact with most people because typically everything has to revolve around them. Which is why most people avoid them.
