i am not in some ways (intersectional feminist, socialist, goth) but i am in others (romantic, i want to get married and have a fancy wedding and 2 or 3 kids someday, family oriented)

I prefer books over digital ones.

Write down recipes by hand.

I'm modest in public. Even if it's 90 something outside, I'm wearing capris and guy shirts. Don't like to have most of my legs, cleavage, or even shoulders showing. Only in the privacy of my own home do I wear tanktop and shorts.

Prefer matches over lighters.

Use an old fashioned can opener that came from my Dad.

I firmly believe that gender roles exist for a reason, that children need boundaries and to know who is boss, that social media has ruined our ability to cope with and accept divergent beliefs, that socialism doesn't work, that right and wrong are real concepts and not just "social constructs", that all governments are bad (even the "democratic" ones), and that public displays of emotion are inappropriate and unacceptable.

Yes, my late maternal grandma used a Maytag wringer washer and so did my late mom did and at one time we had two of them but over time I used a wringer washer to wash clothes after time I believe I started going to the laundromat, but I have old fashion values I believe in marriage and have no intimate time until after marriage I have old fashion ways of holding the door for Ladies, I believe the guy should pay for the Lady, etc.

In many ways yes: I handwrite letters, I believe in sending thank you notes for gifts, you shouldn't call people before 9am, traditional etiquette, etc.

In other ways, no: I like the trends in office attire, new tech, and a bunch of other stuff.

All that said, I still miss the 80s.

I am over 50. I remember life before the internet, cell phones, social media and the hookup culture. I would say that I am pretty old fashioned.
