Not sure if it’s interesting, but where I live has a corner of the house that’s rotting away. Started removing the weather boards and builders paper today and I don’t even know how the corner of the house has been standing up for the past year, haha. Almost all of the wood inside has rotted and crumbled away, even the corner post was floating, the bottom half was just dust. Luckily I’ve got all the required bits to fix it, but it’s turned into more of a headache than I had expected. And we’re in for more stormy weather for the next month, after 2 months of wind and rain and hail, so yay.. fun times fixing it.

Well sounds more like a pain in the ass than an interesting story but because of that stormy weather sounds like it might be a while before you fix that corner

I’m determined to get it all done in the next month. Mostly doing it over weekends. Even if it means I’m out there in my gumboots and windbreaker while it’s pissing down with rain, lol. It’s not ideal but the exterior of the house has been neglected for too long by my landlord (who is also family, otherwise I’d be taking her to court over this).

I know you're probably sleeping but yesterday we had a brush fire about a quarter mile from my house and the fire trucks were filling their tanks using the fire hydrant right outside my home. All my years on this earth, I've never actually seen that! My wife and the neighbors set out coolers with water and Gatorade for them.
