Are bystanders really guilty too?

Anonymous

I would like to admit I've been the bystander did nothing. As a teen, I've witnessed bullying taking place and did nothing. I just thought it was none of my business and I didn't want to get targeted either.

Then I saw an obvious injustice taking weeks ago and once again, did nothing. Someone else jumped in to help the person. Before walking away, the helper told me these things:

''Wait, not so fast. You people are just as bad too. You're the reason for all this. Your silence is the enabler of evil.''

I had a hard time sleeping after all those words said. I always mind my own business and don't really focus on anyone else's problem. But now I'm wonder if you're just as bad too if you witness bad behaviors and do nothing?
