Why do people tell others I'm stupid?

Because they're ignorant. People assume you're quiet because you don't speak up or answer their comments/questions. When in reality you're just observing, listening, or rather not get involved... and no, there's nothing wrong with that.

Introverts and quiet people get bad reputations because we're not as extroverted as others... and fun fact: a lot of extroverts and loud people that talk nonstop are usually the "stupid" ones, people just don't call them out on it as much as they should. So don't get them get to you.
