I took a photo Id and was told I was smiling too hard?

I was smiling and when I smile big my chin goes forward. My eyes get slated. The lady at the dmv told me I can’t smile like that? It pissed me off because it make no sense. Was she supposed to tell me that?

The photo should look like your normal face so that it is easy to look at the license and identify you. If your smiling face is contorted and looks different, then she should have said what she said.

Considering you can’t smile for a passport, she was in the right to tell you that you’re smiling too hard. The ID is used for identification so a resting face or a smile that doesn’t change the shape of your face is preferred.

Yeah, and your license is one of the most common forms of ID, I get you’re mad that you couldn’t smile like you always do but you have to remember that you need to look like your photo to be confirmed as the same person. If your smile changes the shape of your face, you can’t get confirmed as the same person, so it’s no use
