Why is everything individual in America?

I hear this from those who live there: everything is individual in America. The question is; Is it because it is multicultural, it does not allow for cultural fusion to happen, and as a result, there is no cultural fusion?

I'm a German living in America, and I deal with social anxiety among other things. I only visit my best friends because I've known them for so long now. Due to my anxiety having gotten worse the past few years, I get sensory overload from huge crowds of people, clinking of stuff in restaurants, etc. to the point where I just want to cover my ears and run away.

Also we live in a dangerous world, I literally don't trust 98% of the world. I don't even have followers on here because I decline every single request. I don't follow anyone because no one on here is even remotely interesting.

I prefer quiet, and only being surrounded by two to three people.

And animals.

You may have good reasons to stay away from people. you can stay away from people, but like everything else, it will be very harmful. man is a social being by nature. humans have always been together, and this has been passed down through our genes for thousands of years. and it's very difficult for us to change that. It will have bad psychological consequences for the individuals who make up this society.

and I want to ask you one more question :) . Did you want to move from Germany because of religious pressures? I. World War II and World War II economic worries? I was wondering about that.

It's becuase personal preferences are genetic.

You only get a unified culture when enough people in an area prefer that culure.
If an area has many people from a wide array of genetics, and those mix together, more variation in preference will occur, and a culture won't form on a large enough scale to be noticed. Instead you will get small groups of people who form mini cultures based on shared interests and lifestyles. There are hundreds of thousands of those mini cultures in the US.

and individuality will have bad repercussions in society. in other words, even if they live in such a perfect country, it makes the individuals who make up society prone to depression or other psychological disorders. because man is a social being by nature.

That's not usually what happens, even in this social media era. There are, for most people, plenty of organizations you can join and opportunities to socialize.

@maj1nall Individuality is not the problem. Unified culture is the problem, individuality is the solution.
Yes its harder to meet people when selective, but being selective allows for better frienships/intimacy than culture can, unless you are lucky enough to prefer an existing culture, but country immigration policies with need to remove all limitations for that kind of selection to work, as most people are not born in the right country for the culture they prefer. And many people would have to start their own country to get the culture they prefer. Individuality lets people find their prefered culture without needing to move, at the cost of reducing the number of people within it.

This is the best option at the moment for the majority.
