My second husband taught me the word rhetorical.
What about you?
My ex taught me madrachod, pahrt, chod na, chotto, motu, khutu, satchitananda, and a few phrases I couldn't begin to spell. I don't even know if all of those are correct. Mai tuumset piarre khartahum was one of them, Tu mai jhan hei was the other. Poony poony pooh was another and pahn pahn was another. I may have forgotten a few.
Sounds to me like LOTS of people need to learn what "rhetoric" actually means! They keep using it to mean, "something someone says" but it means, "to ask a question you don't want, need or expect an answer to".
Another one people keep getting wrong today is, fiscal. A fiscal year is like; you mean to talk about a full years time but not from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, rather, something like, July 12th one year to July 11th the next year. I have no idea what fiscal spending or fiscal responsibility is and I hear them both, a lot.
Sometimes i still call a bag a sack and when somebody is hogging the road and not letting me go around them i still say they are taking their half out of the middle.
