I’ve been passing out candy for the last 3 years now and I love it. Year after year I’ve been seeing fewer and fewer trick or treaters. Last year I only got 1 kid and ended up with so much left over candy.

Yes.
The fire department goes to 1 area that does a whole neighborhood trick or treat, they have floats, all sorts of stuff, and then to a couple of different locations in the village on Halloween to pass out candy.
My wife does it at the house.
Yup. I enjoy it. Even the slimy young parents that dress up their newborns and haul them around in baby carriages to go out and get candy for themselves, I'll give em something. Not much, but something.
I'll be hosting Halloween parties away from home but my house is fully-decorated for Halloween and fully-stocked with giveaways.
My mom volunteered to come to my house and pass out our giveaways.
We buy treats every year to give to kids but no kids ever come to our house cause there are criminals who live near by and people do not feel safe asking for candy.

I don't do Halloween. I'm not a fun individual.
Yes, I love seeing all the creative costumes that everyone decides to wear! I don't care what age you are, be you a tiny baby who can't eat the candy to a senior citizen... if you put on a costume and come to my door, you'll get a full size candy bar... you'll find none of those fun-sized candy, candy corn or tootsie rolls at my house.
If you're an older sibling taking your little bro/sis around, you'll get a candy bar. If you're A parent taking your kids around, you'll get a candy bar. If you're the pizza delivery guy, you'll get a candy bar!
Would be nice but the weekend before Halloween in my neck do the woods is when they do Halloween involving kids and candy mainly at some big party or lord knows: it’s strange and disappointing but the norm the past 20 some odd years. Envy those that still have it.
No I usually just stay in with the kids and buy our own candy and snacks and watch movies. We only usually have 1 or 2 kids who come knocking on our street.. I will give them candy if they come lol
Imagine been rich enough to afford this. That's something I shall always crave.
$9 so like £7... £7 on candy I don't even buy that for myself.
I spend 20 on food every week, that's my limit. So imagine if I had to spend 7 on the week for Halloween that leaves me with 13.
You wanna know how much I have on me right now? 40. Getting some money soon but that's a typical account for me at the end of the month.
And I consider myself at the lucky end of poor as I do buy stuff for myself every month luckily but I think it would be pretty absurd to take this limited money I already have on things that aren't for me.
Now you get me on 10K a year or something that's even consider low but is super high to me and we are talking I'll happily buy candy for kids and hell donate to charity and buy a homeless person food when I can.
Well when you have to, you find a way. And you think about what your buying a lot more. And I could spend more but then that of course deducts away from other things. So I just have to manage and plan ahead what stuff I am buying.
I can get cheap pizza, cheap drinks, cheap chicken. Honestly Asda cheap chicken ain't bad, I like fish but that's more out of budget really. Sometimes I will get it though.
The good thing is I don't have any real bills to worry about or tax and I am not in debt so overall I am in a good spot and council are trying to help me move somewhere other than my dads. But then that would be bills.
So for now I am just here getting by like always. But also don't get me wrong I ain't in a bad place I have a lot of stuff just not a lot of money coming in that I think it would be wise to spend it on others.
I did buy my bestfriend a present this year but that's also rare and he gets why and is low on income himself. He normally gets a job though he's luckier in that department, myself not so much.
My roommate bought a lot of candy and thought we'd be getting a lot of kids. We had the porch light on too.
Stupid me, I started eating the Reese's peanut butter cups and ate too many. Ended up in the Emergency room. They x-rayed my stomach, said the saw something, weren't sure what, and I went gone to lay and moan in my 🛏️ bed. Never again!
Yes, I will be at home handing out candy. I know some of the parents that come by with their kids and as long as they are walking and not driving, I slip the parents a little bottle of something to keep them warm on those cooler wet nights. They deserve a treat too.
We're giving out tootsie pops and rice krispy treats (not the plain kind either). There's rice krispy treats with chocolate candy or chocolate drizzle and then an all chocolate one.
I give out little bags of pretzels.
If you buy less candy that will be when the crowd really hits!
We live in a really rural area. We tend to not do door to door trick or treating due to really having no neighbors. But we donate a lot of candy and stuff to churches that do events like teic or treating.
Even though trick or treating seems to be a dying ritual (only had ten kids last year), I still buy a few bags.
Poison candy and boiling oil from the roof top? 🤷♂️🤷♂️😂😂
Probably this year. Last year... no kids came around. I usually buy a ton of candy. "(wrapped)
Noop... bad idea for kids to take things to eat from strangers. There are some sick people out there who put things in it. I don't want to teach kids that it's okay to take candy from strangers.
Unfortunately i have to work. My wife and son will be when they're not out trick or treating themselves.
i don't. i put a sign on the door "happy haloween i am not home now." so i can have uninterrupted they won't knock.
No kids come by where I live it is too rural
Nope. We don't celebrate Halloween in my country.
Like every year I buy Halloween candy & I’m never home so it’s a candy win for me.
Nah, never did that, especially living in apartments, not exactly easy.. But I guess one day it'll be fun..
Never do. I dont even like people i know coming over
Yeah but don't know if anyone will show up. When I was a kid there were scads of TorTrs, but last year I think I had 4.
Absolutely! Demographics change, but my neighborhood still gets >150 kids each year (I’m close to a school).
Yes I am. The amount of kids drastically reduced over the years. I used to buy 3 boxes of 30 full size candy bars. Now I'm down to 1 box.
No them kids can miss me with their trick or treat, no free candy from me 😂
Yep candy and treats
Nope. I don’t want to deal with my dogs barking every time someone comes up my doorstep.
Nope Halloween isn’t a thing here where I’m from
Thankfully, we don't do Halloween here.
Nope for religious reasons
