While indifference itself is not directly lethal, it can have serious consequences in certain situations. Indifference can lead to neglect, apathy, or inaction, which can indirectly result in harm or even death, particularly in contexts where empathy, care, or assistance are needed. For example, in healthcare, an indifferent medical professional may not provide the necessary treatment, leading to negative outcomes. In social situations, indifference to someone's suffering can contribute to their emotional distress. So, while indifference itself may not be deadly, its consequences can be detrimental in various aspects of life.
If you let it be a big deal too you, sure.
But ultimately you have no control over how others act. So you need to instead focus on your reaction and behaviours, and work on moving past that relationship and surrounding yourself with folks who aren't indifferent to you.
