So just for fun what noises do some animals make in your country?

Some of the animals where I live honk as they fly & other ones honk as they drive. Some of the animals bark where I live & some of those animals that bark walk on two legs. Some of the animals make a squawking noise as they are flying away from water & other animals bellow like the ones above if you get to close to the water.
Baby Alligator - pew pew!
they sound like laser guns
@Still-alive I remember the first time I heard that sound & I thought it was laser guns & I couldn’t figure it out until I went to a local wildlife center & you press buttons for different animals sounds. I had a alligator bellow at me once & after that I leaned my lesson.
Germany here: 'sound'- what its in English called -what its called in german
Oink - pig oinking - pigs 'oink'
Meh/mäh- sheep going baa baa (same for goats) - Sheeps 'Meh' while. Goats do often 'blöken'
Quack - duck quacking- called schnattern
Muh - cow mooing -cows 'Muhen'
Wau/Wuff - dog barking - dogs 'bellen'
Quack (same as for ducks interestingly, pronounced often with a longer 'a' and a more pronounced 'u') - frog croaking - frogs and toads 'quacken'
miau - cat meow - cats 'miauen'
So I realised we have the same for some different animales. The name of the sound is different most of the time.
i must admit that my heart sank upon reading this. To speak of onomatopoeic words embedded within different languages is undoubtedly fascinating. However, we must exercise caution in this realm of linguistic exploration.
If you met a Russian netizen like @cutefupa I hardly think you'll accuse him of feeding his animals too much vodka. These creatures are far too busy perfecting their ballet moves and practicing their impeccable poker faces for their weekly games of bears and czars. Point being, let's refrain from stereotyping animals from other countries.

Japanese has a near endless count of onomatopoeia.
If you read Japanese manga, authors will even create variations and new onomatopoeia.
In addition to animal sounds, there are also onomatopoeia for states / conditions, feelings and more.

Well I can't speak for the phonetics above, but even in metro-Dallas, TX area we have, dogs, cats, beaver (yep in the lakes, ponds, streams), green parrots, birds of prey, squirrels and coyotes. Air borne birds, particularly the green parrots make a cacophony of noise whether flying or nesting. The remainder of the non-domesticated animals remain silent since they do not want to give their position away.
