If your boss at work cuts your hours, only yours in specific is that a form of discrimination?

Recently my boss at work has cut my hours drastically and only mine , everyone else's stayed the same , is that a form of discrimination?

Has your performance at work been lacking? Have you had any disciplinary action recently? In other words, has there been a REASON to cut your hours specifically?

If not, then you may have a legal case, depending on where you live. Such cases are often difficult to prove, but in most places, they can't cut a single person's hours without a good reason if there are others doing the same job - they can't say that business is down and they had to cut hours because they are usually obligated to cut some hours from everyone rather than target a specific person. It DOES sound like they are hoping you will quit, so they will not have to fire you and pay separation benefits.

I will say no !! I think my work performance has been the same and I have done nothing that has deserved disciplinary action. This was done to me in specific nobody else got the their hours reduced like me. Everyone else have decent hours and went from 40 to 25 and it was done to me only.

Not yet but I'm afraid if I do I might go even worse. He's not easy to talk to. But I feel deactivated to be honest I've nothing wrong to deserve this

It might mean they don't want you any more and are hoping you will quit because of it. It might also be illegal if it takes the form of a hostile work environment. But I don't think just cutting your hours would qualify as hostile work environment. Look up constructive dismissal.

It might also mean they just don't need you for that many hours.

Constructive dismissal!! Is that it? Well my boss cut hours and only mine with no explanation, but I know someone is been bad mouthing me

I suspect constructive dismissal is hard to prove. Someone bad mouthing you is pretty normal. It goes on in all businesses. There are always people who talk behind your back, trying to make themselves look better. Bosses are usually well aware of who is doing this.

I think the most likely thing is they are hoping you will quit. If this continues, you should start looking for another job. You can try talking to a lawyer, but I suspect this is far from being constructive dismissal. Where you live might not even have such a thing.

Ok I'll do my research on that but in this case the person bad mouthing me might have been the reason of me getting my hours reduced. But I have done nothing bad deserve that and it's not fair that it's only happening to me in specific
