Is this considered work discrimination?

If you hear another employee making fun of how another employee of a different, culture/race talks, is that work discrimination or something else.

For example

They hired a new supervisor for the night shift at my job and another supervisor was talking about her amongst another employee saying “The new supervisor, I never understand what she’s saying. She speaks “Says something inaudible.” Basically saying she speaks jibberish, which she doesn’t her accent his just different because she isn’t American, and then she laughed about it and I thought it was weird because I understand her completely and she’s nice.

This is really weird line to walk, but generally, ethnically insensitive jokes are NOT considered workplace discrimination.

The big thing that needs to happen in discrimination is that you need to be clearly materially injured as a result of the behavior. A black guy can't sue his workplace for discrimination, just because a suspected skinhead makes a shitty remark about how him being black makes him a bad coworker. That might rise to the level of discrimination however, if the skinhead is his boss and the black guy keeps getting passed up for promotions despite being an obviously qualified candidate.

It's not discrimination. It's not acceptable and probably violates one or more company rules but it's not discrimination.

It is showing bias, and not allowed in most companies - maybe even illegal.
