Try applying a warm washcloth to the face and neck first, then shaving cream. Shave with the grain, upward on the neck and downward on the face. Then apply a cold washcloth afterward.

Yeah you did something wrong or there's something wrong with the blade or cream you used
I'm not a face shaving expert but this happens with wrong blade, too much pressure and too many passes
Did you use a cream while doing it? I would go on Reddit or YouTube to get advice about shaving.

Sugar and olive oil scrub to exfoliate. Wipe it off. Use a hot wet towel on your skin and hair for a while. Apply a Shave oil then shave cream. Rinse off the blade frequently.
Follow all the other advice but remember to pull the skin kind of tight too. Not real tight, but a little. Like getting a tattoo
