That's already been most of my adult life. I got far more bored working than I do having all the free time I want. The only struggle has been when I want to socialize but everyone else is at work or school. I have filled my days with hobbies, volunteering, reading, writing online, cooking, cleaning, traveling, planning, shopping, caring for animals, etc. Making "work" for myself essentially. People find ways to keep busy.

Depends on what the work is, but I think most of us work so that we can eventually not have to or at the very least choose when we want to work. If you're an hotel food critic, you're already living the dream. There's no need to stop working. If you're an artist and do it because it's what you love, again... I don't see the point in stopping. But shit like being an accountant, lawyer, doctor, engineer, or 90% of other jobs... they kinda suck.

It would be far from boring. Literally like 100 times less boring and stressful than working. I have a lot of hobbies and activities that would keep me busy, interested and involved for the rest of my life to be very fulfilling. Also, if I deemed I had more than enough money I'd probably donate a good portion of that excess to charity. I don't need much to be happy anyway.

I'd likely enjoy a time where I could just drop work. I love traveling and exploring so I'd be spending more money on that. However I do actually like to work to a certain degree. I've always thought that of my career goals never flourished I'd be happy as a tour guide.

Look at the life Jimmy Carter chose. As a past president he had money, health care, and protection, and did not have to work again. Yet he spent his life helping others, volunteering for Habitat For Humanity. It was something he truly enjoyed and it helped so many other.

Not even close to being bored. I have worked 50 - 70 hrs or more a week for the last 20 some years. I deserve a long holiday. After that I have many hobbies & interests to keep me busy.
