They speak about bad about what you are doing , they speak bad about people similarly to you. They acknowledge everyone that is doing something that you are not doing and make a mountain out of it. They make it clear in some way that they are better than you. They look at you with disgust.

One big sign is that they are taller than you.
Seriously, most of the time I have heard from someone that others look down on them, the speaker was reflecting their own deep insecurity. My father and my ex-wife both suffered from this. If you feel that others in your peer group are looking down on you, consider getting some professional counseling.
