Why doesn't this site date stamp questions and replies?

It would be useful to know what date a question was posted to see if it still has any relevance today and when people replied to those questions. Knowing that a question was asked let's say in March 19th 2018 to me would be useful and the dates that people replied to that question.

To the best of my knowledge, GaG does not keep records beyond 2 years because they operate out of the suburbs in a residential area of St. Louis and they most likely don't have the servers and capacity to store all the data for longer than that.

They also work on skeleton crews most of the time. My guess is that it would involve high financial expenditures, which they do not have since they heavily rely on advertisement to run this site.

There has been minimal updates since many years now and my fear is that this site is on the brink more than anything else.

They also extensively rely on moderators and followers to do their job but of course, all that is free of charge.

I see a lot of people responding to questions asked more than a year ago. It doesn't give an exact date, just something like +1 year. The exact date could possibly help that regurgitating old questions.

There is a date stamp, although if it is only a vague one.

At one time years ago when I first joined this site they used to time stamp posts.
