Don’t you just hate asking for help?

I honestly didn’t know what to ask but i used up my updates on the last question 🤣 Soooo i asked my dad and he's like super excited and it just makes me cringe. I feel like im using him. He even had the nerve to ask if he can come on the trip with me, like sir, you’re pushing it  💀  He also said he will continue to pop up at my doorstep irregardless of if he takes me to the airport and picks me up. Ughh my stomach hurts # FeelFreeToList

Asking for help is a normal part of our lives, and other people mostly appreciate your trust in them. As someone reminded me lately, I don't have to prove anything to anyone, including myself.

Maybe I don't have as strong feelings for asking for help as hate, but I'm definitely still not a fan of it :P but sometimes it's just the best solution

I HATE ASKING FOR HELP! I’d rather do that shit on my own even if it’s not right. That way I cannot fault anyone other than myself later.

Unless I can see the person helping me, I don't mention issues I'm having. I also needed to ask for extra time during my national tests for billing and coding. It took me weeks to actually do it. I don't think I need as much help as others, so I don't want to take time away from those that need it more.

One thing I learned getting older. Don't depend on anyone... try and do things yourself as much as possible. You don't want to be disappointed if that person doesn't come through. I still have. a few friends that I would ask for help... but that is a last resort.

Yeah sometimes I feel if I ask for help it liked I failed doing it myself especially if it’s minor thing and I know I can do jt. I also hate that I am so frustrated try doing something myself then it looks so easy to the person I asked do it like it was nothing.

Some family has no idea the line! Like my uncle would do that then try to come on the trip. Like vacation with you is 4 months away

I absolutely loathe asking for help. I had to borrow money from my dad one time (I never ask him for money. Not even as a kid. My sister is ALWAYS asking for money) and found out he was bragging to family friends about how he "gave" me $500, leaving out the fact that I had already given him $200 and was going to pay the rest back in a couple of days.

Certainly do. Don't want to feel obligated and morally required to return the favor. Some people will try to cash in a favor several times over. They have a transactional persona whereas better people have a more affable glad to help persona.
