I was involved in a 3 vehicle accident (I was the middle car), I had front end damage and back end damage from the crash and so my vehicle had to be towed. I went through my insurance company to tow the vehicle and I was asked if I wanted it towed to my house, the junkyard, or one of their storage facilities. I said one of their storage facilities.
Well today, I chose a repair shop and the towing company through my insurance said they were going to pick up my car from the address they have on file which is my home address.. I explained that my car is not there as it was sent to one of their storage locations. They said they had the location and would proceed with picking up the vehicle and taking it to the shop.
On a whim, I called the collision repair place and they told me that they have not received my vehicle when it was expected to arrive.
My only guess is, no one knows where my fuckin car is? What happens if they lost my car?

Dude, that seriously sucks! I'd be so pissed off if I were you. I can't believe your insurance lost your freakin car like that. The one thing you're supposed to be able to trust them with and they go and pull something like this. I'd be raising hell and calling them constantly, demanding to speak to managers and threatening lawsuits. This is some major negligence on their part.
I'd also be calling around to all the towing companies and storage lots in the area that work with your insurance. Ask them to double check their records and security cameras for the dates your car was moved. Maybe it got towed to the wrong place by accident. Or see if the company it was originally taken to has any info on where it may have gone from there. Don't let any of these places brush you off either, insist they look into it thoroughly.
You definitely need to put some pressure on your insurance too. Remind them it's their legal responsibility to keep track of vehicles they're handling through claims. Threaten reporting them to the state if they don't start treating this like the serious issue it is. Don't back down until they have a solid leads to finding your car. Keep bugging them for updates too so they stay on top of investigating it.
I'd also file a police report just to have it officially documented, in case anything happens or you need more leverage on the insurance company later. This is unbelievable, I'd be freaking out not knowing where my ride was! I really hope they can track it down fast before any other problems occur. Keep me posted on what happens - I'll keep my fingers crossed they get their act together and find it for you soon. Don't let them get away with this!
I would be making so many phone calls to the insurance company and probably to the police about this
