Well , I'm already here , I'm actually just turned 63 .
I'm here in the warm climate of Thailand Hua Hin , I'm probably healthier and fitter than probably I expected ( say in my 20s ) , its pretty dam good , the only problems I get are out of Australia , the stress comes only from there.
A key thought always is , I was 17 years old , just about to turn 18 , NYE weekend in country Victoria 4 or 5 days I think , so inexperienced , we caught the train ( 7 Hours ) 3 Boys , 1 had just turned 18 ( he could buy the beer ) , I remember a worldly young girl 15 ( haha ) , being infatuated with me , kissing me , coming to my tent , playing around in the pool. Of those 3 young boys , I'm the only one above ground.
Could I have envisaged all that has happened and being in Hua Hin 7 years? Probably not , couldn't even imagine , didn't know anything about Asia in 1978 , except for the odd golf pro , it was a long way away.
So , my point is , Dream Big , coz absolutely anything can happen , and in 20 / 40 years? Sht , who knows? Its actually really great being 63 and in this Nik , but health must be your No 1 , if unhealthily , Obese , eating shit , you will just feel sht too , so all that needs to start in youth.
I'm hoping to retire not long after at 65 with enough money saved and a pension to try my hand at becoming an indie game developer. That's actually how I started when I was younger was being an indie game developer, but I switched to the computer graphics industry after university.
Also it's difficult for me to imagine my wife not being by my side. I have this funny image always where we're sitting on a rocking bench and I say, "Look what I can do!" and try to backflip off the bench and hurt myself because I've grown too old.
@molonski2 Awesome! š»
Judging by the way the world is now, we'll be lucky if we get to 2025...
But yes, I would love to be a 60 year old one day. I imagine myself living perhaps in my country, with a nice group of friends, my own house and if I'm lucky enough with a family.
Allright, why :)
Why? What do you mean by "why"?
"Judging by the current state of the world, we will be lucky if we reach 2025." For this comment
You don't watch the news?
I am watching, but even if my country is a NATO country, it is exempt from this threat, ma'am āŗļø
We're all under a threat, it doesn't matter if the place we are is part of NATO or not...
We have the second strongest army in Nato, Russia cannot pose any threat to our country. You should relax.āŗļø
Well. I'm pretty sure we're not on the same country. However, I still believe that all countries have reasons to be worried. And I'm not talking about Russia only.
Which countries do you mean? Are you Norwegian, Finnish or Polish?
Nope, I'm not from any of these countries. What I mean is, if someone decides to "push" the button, everything will end. Humanity will be gone.
You shouldn't be so worried. Open the refrigerator door and choose a bottle for yourself āŗļø
I have a lot of reasons to be worried...
And I don't drink alcohol Lol
Clear your mind, then. Life doesn't always happen in black-white š
That's almost impossible at this moment, but thank you for trying to make me feel better. :)
Nothing is impossible, my friend. There is always a possibility, and it is only paranoia that causes us to think negativelyš
"Nothing is impossible, my friend. " - I guess we can agree to disagree on that Lol
Reality is negative...
But I'll try to be more positive.
i'm sensing signs of depression š
No, I'm just really aware of what's going on around the world.
hopefully dead. dont want to ever be that old

I was recently divorced, living in an apartment, and starting to date again.
@AngryCarl I used dating sites and had no problem getting dates. They were nice ladies. Most of them (not all) were fairly eager to have sex as soon as they got to know me. I only dated one at a time and I was really looking for a long term partner. In December 2020, I met her.
I've always had mixed thoughts about online dating but it seems more palatable to me when people are older and more mature and know exactly what they want.
@GuyAnswersGirls123 Online is just a way to meet more people than you would otherwise. Once you talk once or twice, it's time to meet in person, and then it's just like traditional dating.
Some of my allergy to it might be because here in Japan, the conventional way to date is to date people we already know really well like classmates, colleagues, friends, members of the same community.
For example, I hear a lot of young guys complain these days about being exploited on a date where the woman used them like ATM machines, ordering the most expense dinner and drinks and then ghosting them after. And women being exploited for their bodies, like a man who expects her to sleep with him just because he bought her dinner.
With this type of dating we have traditionally in Japan, there isn't that risk typically because we traditionally date only people we know from a shared community of people who can vouch for each other's good character.
If we date members of a shared community, ghosting each other is impossible, for example.
@GuyAnswersGirls123 Yes, that is vastly different than the dating culture in the US.
@OlderAndWiser cool
@molonski2 The last year of the marriage, she changed her mind about wanting a divorce at least six or seven times. When we finally got a divorce, it was a relief. Dating was very easy for me at that point in life. I was still healthy, active, and I had many of the qualities that older women want in a man. First dates were easy to get and when I wanted a second date, the answer was usually yes. I was surprised at how much easier it was, but in retrospect, I have become more confident as I became older and that is a big factor with women.
@OlderAndWiser , so glad it worked out bro , nothing worse than uncertainty you had with your ex , sounds like she was all over the shop so it was a relief. I think dating at our time of life is easier , especially if you are in decent nik , as there are not that many decent men available ( I'm 63 by the way ) .
Glad you found a nice one , like the sound of the Asian influence too , I like that determination and influence.
@molonski2 If anybody thinks I am attracted to her because they think Chinese women are subservient. . . they don't know Chinese women!
@molonski2 Sorry, but my last comment was not directed at you. I sometimes get questions about Yellow Fever and I; a bit sensitive on that topic.
Understand , I live in Thailand but have also had some Chinese girlfriends I know the drill , plus my last project in Australia ( all Chinese ) ..
Will say this ( and not remotely directed at your situation ) , a mate in North Carolina , can honestly say in my opinion , Chinese ( now wife - 2 kids ) literally saved the guy from his own self destruction , been together 25 years now - Incredible turn around , she saw the good side and potential.
Heading off to church. My kids are grown and my career has settled down to getting to the finish line in 10 to 15 years and to a comfortable retirement, unless Democrats fukk it up even further. The retirement age for Social Security will be 70-75, so I should have decent retirement savings.
Probably won't live that long. But If by miracle I do, you can bet your ass I will be back travelling across Europe like I used to in my youth.
The difference being I will have an apartment in quite a few of the countries.
Finally in the Forbes 500 list and enjoying wealth likes there is not tomorrow.
Wow! What did you do to get into the Forbes 500? I wondered āŗļø
I'm not there yet.
At the least, I got my sights on surpassing our former POTUS sooner than I anticipate.
I wish you continued success, madame
Thank you. :)
I'm determined to meet & exceed my goals.
Your welcome. Aaaaand i am sure that you will achieve your goalsāŗļøāŗļøāŗļø
That was a few months ago:
Went for ice cream with the Missus.
And spent the remaining end of the day fornicating.
Best 60th I've ever had :)
Only 3 years away from that and I donāt see much charging until 67 or 70 when I retire and live somewhere affordable, hopefully something will change for the better and I wonāt need to wait so long
I'm almost there. I don't expect much to change.
In the state of Missouri. That's where I was last year.
Retired and teaching grandchildren how to fish.
Retired, owning a house enjoying my days sitting on my porch and watching the world go by
you are 25 years old and how is this possible? Please, give me tacticš
i think you are a very determined person and you will achieve thisāŗļø
You'r welcome. Keep movingāŗļø
Very wealthy living with 11 other families in my underground missile silo survival bunker.
I'm not making it to 50, so I don't see myself at 60.
60? Let me see... fretting over Brexit and inflation. No change there then.
Honestly, the sky's the limit. If you asked me 5 years ago, I probably would have told you that there would be a good chance that I would have killed myself before then.
Hopefully, happy retirement :D
A very positive thought, but it's early for the retirement age, 60 years old, madame āŗļø
I don't expect any pension. I will do it on my own conditions :D
How many years until you retire, Madame? āŗļø
No idea, I have an interesting and decently paid job, so I'm not in a hurry lol
Is there no officially established age criteria in your country? And what is your profession? āŗļø
It depends on the country lol
and I don't know where I will live next year so... :D
I'm a software engineer in the position of technical manager
Oh, software engineers don't need to think about the future. I think you're in the luckiest professional group right now, madame š
Long years of learning invested, but it was worth it
I congratulate you. You are a real German š
Very hardworking, selfless
I hope I'm not remembering wrong. You're German, aren't you? š
partially lol :D
Mostly Polish, partially German, Lithuanian, and Irish :D
I think you're from America. Considering that you are multiracialš
I will be, this summer
I hope your wishes will be fulfilled. I also want to move to America
In my office at the restaurant I manage
What is a detached house?
For example:
I dunno if Iāll even make it to 60.
I dunno if Iāll call it fun. More like Iām stuck in a cosmic doctorās office waiting room.
If Iām alive, prob chilling with my friends
