My first year out of high school I worked in the city at a place that made trophies. I worked 5 days a week and half a day on Saturday. One Saturday it was raining really hard. It was one of those storms that if it was a couple of degrees colder it would be snowing. I used to hitchhike to and from work. I was wearing my winter coat and in minutes it was soaked through. I was standing to the entrance to the expressway and it was hard to get ride. I think that most people were hesitant to let this soaking wet person into their car. After about a half hour finally this guy picks me up. He was going right by where I was getting off the highway. By the time we got close he wanted to get off and give me a ride the rest of the way. There was something weird about this guy and I really did not want him to know where I lived. I told him that I usually get a ride pretty quick. So he lets me off and I walk down the ramp and start hitchhiking while I was walking. I thought that maybe getting a ride the rest of the way might be difficult since it was still raining really hard. I might have had to walk the last 4 or 5 miles. Then the guy that gave me the ride before shows up and stops and picks me up. He said that he got off at the next exit and turned around,

He gave me a ride the rest of the way, I still felt funny about this guy so I thanked him for the ride but had him drop me off two street over from where I lived.

I think it was my first time flying and there was a man/wife a nearby city in my state. I was having a horrible migraine as my ears popped and this lady went full out worried about me, running around the plane trying to make sure someone found me some meds and that i was well taken care of. She baby’d me the whole flight 😂 She was really nice
