Yeah the Poppy girls scene was a bit more entertaining TBH.. That's where the flavor they tried to bring to "The Wiz" popped.. LOL..

For real dude, the poppy girls scene in The Wiz was foxxy haha! Like you said, that's where they really brought the flavor with the remake.

All the sass and sex appeal the poppy girls brought made that whole sequence pop. Blowing magic glitter in peoples faces is way cooler than just nodding off in a field. And having them work for the big bad witch added some grit too.

You just know those poppy girls were having way more fun seducing dudes and getting them messed up than the boring ones in Oz. Singing and dancing in the streets while trap luring in victims is way more entertaining to watch.

I can see why people thought it was over the top at the time.. but these days it just seems ahead of its time, you know? Those poppy girls knew how to get down! Takes that whole field to the next level for sure. Makes you wanna visit Oz just to kick it with them hah.

The Wiz version wins hands down on entertainment value alone. Props to them for taking that scene up a notch with the flavor!
