It depends. I lead a lot of things in my life, but I think it was George Washington who said the best leaders are good followers. Still not totally sure to what extent that's true but trying to find out has made me realize that you have to know when to let go and let someone else take the wheel.
And then you need to have their back like you'd want if the roles were reversed.

It depends on the situation - - - - - -
Some things I will follow, due to serving under someone else's purview of a project, etc. or deferring to their higher level training, etc in an area, but, usually the former.
Some things I will lead, due to me having the project purview or with me having the higher level of training needed.
