August 23, 1988, in the early morning hours, Mike Tyson and Mitch "Blood" Green were involved in a street fight 2 years after they had met in the ring. Green confronted Iron Mike at Dapper Dan's in Harlem. Green was already furious at Tyson, having claimed that promoter Don King had underpaid him and desiring a lucrative 2nd fight that he was unlikely to get. Tyson had been out nightclubbing and drinking beforehand and was at Dapper Dan’s to pick up an $850 white leather jacket. The argument quickly escalated during which Tyson landed a straight right to Green's face, completely shutting his left eye and opening a cut across his nose that required 5 stitches. Tyson, however, did not walk away unscathed, as his right hand was fractured during the melee, causing his scheduled October fight against Frank Bruno to be pushed back. “I was drunk and didn’t realize he was high on angel dust so he wasn’t going to hit me back,” recalled Tyson. “I was throwing punches and crunching this guy and he was weaving and wobbling from side to side like he was going to fall but he didn’t go down. So I did a Bruce Lee ‘Enter the Dragon’ roundhouse kick on his ass and he went down.” However as Tyson and his driver headed to their car, Green popped “back up like Jason from ‘Friday the 13th’ and kicks me in the balls”. Tyson put Green down again, but when he tried to make good his escape in his Rolls-Royce, his driver told the champ they could not move as Green was under the wheels. This time, Tyson got out of the car and landed “my signature punch, the right uppercut. Boom! Mitch went flying into the air and came down like a ragdoll, right on his head.” Tyson was terrified in the aftermath that he had actually killed Green. However by the time the police arrived at 5am, they found Green alive.

Well, Mike proved once again that he was the better fighter, fighting in a street fighter with no rules or anything.. Good on Mitch though for fighting it out, cause guys nowadays would've just went to shoot him.. Lmao.. But Mike probably had guys in place as well..
You’re right about that, and the Blood title wasn’t part of his name for nothing cause obviously he was a street dude too so he could’ve easily killed Tyson by gettin his gang or shot him but like mike said, he came in on angel dust I guess from what Mike he kept getting up like Jason probably was why 😂😂😂 but goddamn do you see Mitch’s face, boy mike done f’d his eye up
And why is Mitch on the third pic leaning up in Tyson’s face like that with his hands on his lap probably talkin shit tho?
Mike easily held his own tho with him since mike got into many fights in the steets before he found boxing. They’ve both fought alright but you see who won and stood tall in the end lol if I was to get hit by Tyson, shit I’ll be on Angel dust too.
Most definitely.. It was probably the angel dust that got him not shooting Mike.. 😂😂.. And yeah I thought that the lap pic was sus, but I realized that he was probably goating him and whatnot.. But Yeah Mike showed that he don't need rules to beat em down.. 😂..
Yo no joke, Mitch was probably faded as hell off that dust haha. Might be the only reason he didn't pull a piece on Tyson! Dude was for sure out of his mind.
And you right, that pic of him in Mike's lap talkin shit is wild. Especially with what Tyson saying different stories what happened but not what’s on those pics tho. Probably can’t state it out properly since that was 36 years ago
But yeah man, Tyson showed he can bang with the best outside the ring too. Dude was a street dog and didn't need no rules to take care of business. Mitch found that out the hard way! Just cemented Tyson as the man right there. Don't matter where it is, the ring or the streets, Iron Mike would mash you up either way. Pure fighter through and through.
for sure he probably had some back up too in case things went left just in case, you know how it is. Can't be the baddest man without some protection. But they kept it a straight up street fight which is crazy to think about considering how talented they both were. could've been bad news, but they got after it the right way even in the heat of the moment. Just proves those dudes were cut from a different cloth back then for sure. Takes some serious stones to throw down like that, props to both of them for going at it the old school way.
Most definitely.. Could've been his ego too.. He got beat by Mike, and wanted another fist fight and thought shooting him would be cheating.. The angel dust just lowered his inhibitions enough to walk up on Mike Tyson. LOL.. But yeah Mike definitely showed that he didn't need no rules to clap my boi up.. Lmao..
Yo for sure, Mitch's ego had to be bruised after losing to Tyson in the ring. Bet he was itching for a rematch to redeem himself. And you right, pulling a piece probably felt like cheating to him since he lost clean the first time. That dust just gave him a liquid courage boost to run up on Iron Mike again.
But man, it probably wasn't the best idea lol. Dude found out the hard way - Mike don't need no rules! Even faded Mitch shoulda known better than to press the baddest man on the streets. Tyson taught him a lesson he ain't never forget for sure. Mike hit Mitch so hard he became a born against Christian literally and out the street life 😂😂😂
Hahaha.. He almost sent him to see Jesus so hard, he thought he might as well give his life to him.. 😂😂😂.. Mike is out here laying hands, giving these fools pathway to the Holy Spirit.. 😂.. You're right that's a lesson Mitch never forgot..
Looks like in some point in suffered a beating but managed to win?
Mike beat the nasty off his ass. Twice.
Corral loo9 at his eye my goddamn
Yeah, he pissed him off.
Mike did NOT like that dude.
