My goodness 1 million dollars in Rands is around 18mil.
I would firstly tell no-one, book me and the husband a nice private hotel spot on the beach. There i will sit in shock and reflect in peace while sipping on my cocktails...(we live close to beach anyway)
Probably, pay off my mom, sister and best friend's houses, cars and set them up with money for a few years so I know that they will never struggle.
Same with me and the hubby, and out little bundle on the way. I will invest for us for retirement.
and then MY FAVOURITE part would be buy farms and set up places that will accept animals that have no place to go that need care and attention, old age homes that will have people around so they are never alone if their families have left them alone.
I think that would be amazing. The animals feel loved as well as our older generation and no one has to be alone 😀

I'd send some money to my grandma, set aside money for my immediate family (maybe 100k for each sibling & 100k for my parents), maybe like 50k to various charities, set aside around 50k for friends who need the money or more depending on what, spoil my family and friends by funding a holiday or nice birthday gifts that year or any immediate shopping items that people want or need (not luxury or insanely expensive) then the rest can go into my own savings for the future whether it's for me or someone else - honestly 1mil isn't enough in this economy when you want to look after someone other than yourself lol
Dollars or pound?
In pounds it would equate to £800k. This dosen't actually go far when buying a family home. Would probably have to spend most of it on a new house. Maybe enough left for a newer car. Then sell off current house to clear all debts and have a back up fund of a couple of hundred thousand.
If it were £1m, the extra £200k would allow me to buy an investment property or even 2 with some of the back up fund. Would have to get a mortgage on them but long term we be good investment
One million US dollars equals roughly 11 million Swedish kroners. I would start off by paying off my debt and parents housing debt which equals to roughly 3.3 million. Would then give a million to younger brother, another million to parents and another million to be divided between two nieces. For 700 000 thousand kronors I would go on a shopping spree, travels, do whatever literally and someway give back to the community. The remaining I would put into high interest saving account.

Put 25% into each of our two children's investment accounts.
Give 25% to our families.
Give 12.5% to good causes and charities.
Keep 12.5% for ourselves.
As you say dollars, convert it to pounds so as already mentioned that makes £800k
Assuming it's true winnings and I don't pay tax upon it
I'd buy a full allocation of premium bonds for £50k, leaving £750k
Buy this house and renovate it probably £300k so £450k
I'll buy a shop somewhere as well for let's say £150k-£250k for that so £300k-£200k left
Put £100k into the business so £100k-£200k
Spend £50k on jewellery and invest the restI'd get some nice property in a rural area for me to settle and start my distilling company.
I'd start with rum, and start growing sugar cane, so that when they bloom nice and high, I can make my own molasses with it, rather than buying it to cut down on costs.
I'd distill rum, deliver it to distributors once a sale price is reached, and I'd keep growing my company from thereDonate it to orphanages and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The children are our only hope for salvation at this point. ✝️
I would buy a house and a car for myself.
I will invest the remaining moneyI would still continue working. Keep some of that money for retirement. Probably invest in property and real estate. Set some of that money aside for my children's education and needs and share some with close family.
If it was in fact "won" you would only end up with just over half that after taxes (depending where you live) and a million doesn't even go that far these days.
Half would go to my parents automatically.
Then I’d get a financial advisor and figure it out.
My everyday life wouldn’t change too much.
I'd give it all to my favorite charity.. St Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis Tennessee. They do amazing work treating children with cancer, at no cost to the family.
Tbh is probably give most of it away to children’s programs and such. Too much money or power makes people crazy and stupid.
Set aside for retirement, give to charities I’ve always wanted to donate towards, maybe a week vacation with friends/family (not to celebrate it), and continue to have my current job / focus on relationship. Simple as that.
$ 1,000,000 = £ 800,673 ? Clear off my debts, prepay my funeral, Put about £80,000 in a trust account each for my nieces and nephews, and buy a new high spec PC/Laptop without Win 10/11. and probably a Cargo E-bike or a E-quad.
I am not great at money management but off the bat I know I’d tithe, distribute some to my family, get a car, get an apartment or house and then save save save, my mom could probably help me save it/manage it
pay off debts of me and parents in law. divvy some up to my dad. buy the parent's in law house
Probably buy one house, and put the rest aside for savings
Just one million? It's maybe a small house with a good car, not enough for going really crazy
I’d pay off the mortgage on our investment properties
donate sth, then invest into real estate and than for travelling
That isn’t even enough to buy a studio apartment where I live. I would just invest it in gold.
Gamble it in swing trading and either doubling it or losing it all.
Yeah, its worth the risk.
