Do you find that how nice you are on the phone taking care of your business that the person who's helping you is so rude and must hate their job?

Almost everyone I have business dealings with over the phone act like they don't want to help me. They have a bad attitude and act uptight because they have to do some work.
I am so nice when I call these people and it doesn't seem to matter. They act all put out.

Just changing my address with my attorney's office, the staff person was giving me a bad time. Finally I asked her why she was giving me a bad time - it's only an address change. Jeeeez!

I just start calling these people out now and ask them what their problem is. I'm almost to the point of asking them if they hate their job because they act like it.

I try not to get upset about it. I hate dealing with tech support usually the person on the other end is not properly trained and they just try to make you go away. Occasionally I find somebody who is polite and actually helps me solve my problem. I make it a point to compliment them.

I'm sure some do. People tend to think lowly of the customers they have to deal with, sometimes. When I first started working on the Midway at Cedar Point, all the others there would consider any of the people coming to the park to be animals. We'd open up the game for the day and people would start coming into the park and some of the games workers would say, "Here come the animals!"

So many people feel that “It just isn’t their job “ to help you. I have found that to be true dealing with pharmacy’s and insurance companies. “Well, you need to call them!”
