This is a bit of a long story but my life is really bad and I want it to change. I was the youngest and so my parents didn’t put any effort into raising me as they did with my older siblings and if I’m being honest they didn’t put a lot of effort into them ether. I grew up eating mainly ramen and wearing handy downs. I was never thought how to cook for myself, clean for my self, groom myself, and clothe myself (style). Hell I had to wake myself up and get myself to school without breakfast sense I was in 5th grade. They never helped me with homework. I’m just tired of it all. I just want to know the basic knowledge that everyone else has and to not look so sloppy. For the most part I’ve taught myself how to cook but I’m no 5 star chef. But I don't know what clothes would look good on me. What colors match and what looks good for my body type. What are good hairstyles. How do I even get into a good routine? How to talk to people my own age and how to talk to women. How to feel comfortable in my own skin.
I just don’t understand why people would have a child and not put an effort into raising them.

Dude, I feel you. It sucks growing up without that guidance. But you're right to want to learn now - better late than never!
Here are some things I'd recommend checking out:
- YouTube - Search for stuff like "how to dress well for your body type" and you'll get tons of style tips. Some guy channels are Real Men Real Style, Alpha M.
- Subreddits like r/malefashionadvice - People post outfit pics and give advice. Good place to learn what looks good.
- Books - The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is great for self-confidence. How to Win Friends is a classic for social skills.
- Cooking shows - Good Eats with Alton Brown is fun to watch and teaches techniques. Just start simple.
As for routine, focus on gym/exercise, 8 hours sleep, and doing something social or creative every day. Small steps man, you'll start feeling better in no time.
We all gotta learn this stuff somehow. Be proud you wanna improve. You've got this - in a year you'll be a new man with all the knowledge you gain. Let me know if any topic needs more tips!
I was severly neglected one time i fell out of a tree broke my arm real bad it looked like the letter s and my mom wanted me to wait til my step dad got home from work to go to hospital like 6 hour wait a few hours later my neighbor told my mom they were going to take me she would not even call ambulance i ended up having surgery , thats just one of the stories , the monster that did raise me worked as a gaurd at a prison in washington state so you could picture how fucked it was
Try looking for a social worker and also try to go to counseling. Make some phone calls. Do some research there’s help out there.
