Anyone know how to get better?

I am 18 and had a big glow up over the past 1,5year. But now I get attention of people that I am not used to, people make eye contact on the street and smile at me. Now the biggest problem I face is when a pretty girl does this, like I am at a point where I can hold eyecontact for a short while and remember to smile back but I don’t know what to do? Part of me wants to say hi but a part of me is afraid I don’t know what to say.

I can't say this is the worst problem a person can have.

So it sounds like you're just not used to being as good looking as you (evidently) are. So when a pretty girl looks at you and smiles, you're remembering to do the look-back-and-smile... that's perfect.

When it comes to saying "hi": If you feel inclined to say hi to a particular girl in that situation. You absolutely should. If you want to talk to that girl, her smiling at you and making that eye contact is an invitation to do so.

I'm not saying that you should say hi to every single pretty girl who looks at you. It's probably only worth saying "hi" to a girl you want to talk to. Because she's probably going to say "hi" back. Then you find yourself in a conversation before you know what happened.

Dude, if they're giving you the look that's an invitation to say hi. She will at least not be upset that you did, or think you're weird for doing so. She shouldn't be giving you that look if she doesn't want you to say hi.

If she's just checking you out, that's not going to be eye contact that's sustained after you look at her. If she's just checking you out, usually a girl will not maintain eye contact once she sees you looking back she'll quickly divert her eyes (because she's just checking you out... not inviting you to say hi... maybe she's shy, or taken or whatever)

The more typical problem, is that a guy is too shy to say hi. You don't seem averse to doing so... you're just not sure if it's appropriate to. It is fully appropriate.

As for the what to say part. That's a bit more difficult isn't it. There is no easy answer here. This also gets easier with practice.

To tell you the truth, it doesn't really matter what you say. As long as you're talking. You can be talking about anything... as long as your talking. You just want to be as relaxed and "yourself" as possible (easier said than done. I know).

I really would not recommend "lines" or anything like that. Just talk to her. If it's a random girl on the street... then you do have to kinda move quickly to get her number or contact info.

If it's a girl in class, just talk to her without overtly hitting on her at first. Just talk. Topic doesn't matter, it's about the conversation happening. If there's mutual interest there, you can be talkin about cat-food and you'd both be enjoying the conversation.

Don't try and be smooth. Don't try and impress her. Just talk to her like a person. That's really all there is to it.

It's becoming confident and comfortable that takes some time. But it will become easier and easier as you continue to find your own personal style.

First off, congrats on the glow up!

As for conversation, the only way you are gonna get good at it is by practicing. You can do that online at first and just try talking to women there but eventually you are gonna have to just bite the bullet and talk to one irl.

Thank you, but the thing is. I talk with girls and know girls but my small talk is terrible. Currently I don’t know any girl I am into and really want to get a relationship and whatever there is to it as this is a side of life i didn’t experience much.

Now to get to know new people I need to approach them, doesn’t help that I am naturally shy.
