When did you discover kangaroo pouches was a part of them and it looks weird?

I was 33 years old...
for some reason I thought it would be as fuzzy warm as the interior of a Mexican's car, you know... all fur, everywhere
Me too I pictured it like a hairy pocket lol
When I watched a documentary on kangaroos some years ago and they said. When the baby kangaroo is born it crawls from the birthing across her fur to the pouch. It's completely hairless and really tiny. And that's where it's stays till it's big enough to come out. It almost looked like a second womb. How could something so tiny survive otherwise. What amazed me is that it's born with the instinct to know where to go.
Schools have lied to us with their pictures lol
I never knew that. It almost looks like a womb or is a womb and not just a carrier for the baby kangeroo.
It looks pretty nasty no lie
Nobody said a formation of the baby is a pretty sight. The same could be said for us.
Fair enough lol
It has been a while. I forgotten when I learned. lol
So you've known? Lol
Yes? lol
It is science. 😂
You are lying so hard rn, stop the cap 😂
It is a part of science. LOL 😭😂😭😂
I think I learned in a documentary or something.
You don't even sound certain *hits unapproved button* 😌🫱🏽🫲🏿
I am going to smack you. 😂😂😂
You'll never know what that feels like, cause I'm untouchable 🙂
lmao 😂
You wish!
You always say you wanna smack this and that but never do it, why is that? 😌
B-because…just because. 😡😭
Exactly 😌

A documentary movie about Australian wildlife in fourth or fifth school class, so 10-11 years old.
Thats quite a class
Not at all. We watched many subject matter documentaries in biology and chemistry classes. We even watched famous "Serengeti Shall Not Die" in primary school. Now that left an impression!

I knew when i was around like 10 or so. I was told “they’re actually gross on the inside” and i took their word for it 🤷♂️
That's fair enough lol
They gestate in the pouch so it is like womb which the picture shows but young joeys jump back in and stick their heads out.
A lot of marsupials don't have pouches but a lot do. Think it is about 50 50.
I'm not sure if I ever didn't know it :D but I was into biology, so...
i mean it makes sense if you think about it. the little baby kangaroo goes in their to suck on their mom's chi chis
Yea but I never really imagined the logic behind a kangaroo pouch lol
When i was about 6 and i think they are very convenient and millennial mothers would love them.
Wtf chico lmao
Lol.
When I was a toddler via animal encyclopedias.
Ijust found out just this second.
Lmao look nasty don't it
Lmaoo
Exactly ten seconds too late.
Lmao
Now. Right now. 😱
I'm glad to see someone else just as surprised 😂
Isn’t is pretty much just extra skin?
