Are you satisfied? Or do you want to move?

1 yYes! Although I never planned on moving in with my (then) boyfriend, living with my fiancé is wonderful. I do miss just walking to class, but I’m not in classes anymore anyway, so I’d still have to drive to the psychology office where I’m doing my externship But I could not imagine getting into bed alone every night, knowing the man who loves me, and whom I love more than mere words can say is also sleeping alone! Plus his apartment building is only for students, and the pool is always full of eye candy… Especially near the gym entrance!

Woah! Those guys are really cute! I hope this helps
Sincerely, Laura 🤗16 Reply- 1 y
No, I do have a degree in psychology, but I’m currently in my clinical externship for my masters degree, and will be a THERAPIST when I graduate in December. Although I will be getting my PhD, and becoming a clinical psychologist, almost immediately after graduation here! (My mom wanted me to get my PhD because before my uncle raped me, which put me on the path to wanting to dedicate my life to helping those who were raped and/or sexually abused by a family member, or other trusted adult. I was going to be a physician like my mom, although I didn't want to be a surgeon like mom. So when I told her I wanted to be a therapist, she made me promise I would at least get my doctorate!
The difference is largely academic. Psychologist’s training delves more deeply into the science, theory, behind the psychology of their patients. They also tend to focus more on practice of psychology. But the program I’m in gives me the exact same clinical training as the student-psychologists. I knew what my specialty was before I began high school, so my entire education has been geared towards my eventually becoming a therapist for tween and teenage girls, going through the worst trauma they will ever face! That won’t change when I DO become a clinical psychologist.
Do you mind if I ask you why you're asking? - 1 y
Wow, thanks! That meant a lot to me.

Okay, now I’m just blushing. (sorry I don’t handle compliments with the best of grace) But I truly thank you. Seriously, you are too kind.

I have lived her for along time and have it set up just the way I want it. looked into downsizing a few years ago but I found that unless I moved into a shithole neighborhood It really would not save any money.

1 yYeah, I live in a medium house on a lot of land. So... I have a big pool, a big sandpit, a trampoline, two jungle gym play areas and the rest of the land has nothing yet. I take my dog for walks in the remaining land though.

I actually don't have much of one really. Just a slight hint of one. I think because my dad is from New York originally so his accent is still strong. So growing up his voice is what my brother and I heard the most. I think it had an effect on my accent.
6.6K opinions shared on Other topic. I love it here. Finally, I found peace, quiet, no crime and truly friendly people. Pity I had to move to the other side of the world to make it happen, but it was worth it.

1 yAnywhere else would be no less shitty than where I am now. So why would I think about a change?
At least my dogs feel happy here, and the main girlfriend has her stable environment.
I can always close my entrance gate - ''inside'' it's comfortable enough.

1 yHaving moved back into the house built for my family in 1972, left to me in dad's will, I am happy and have made many upgrades to the house.
However, for several years between 2013 & 2021 a clan of gang bangers rented the property adjacent to mine and have made me and the entire neighborhood miserable with their illegal acts.
After three drive by shootings (my mailbox still bears the scars,) they finally moved away, but there are still idiots in loud cars speeding and laying rubber throughout this otherwise quiet bedroom community.
But I love this place and will fight to keep it peaceful. My efforts calling the cops have paid off considerably, as three nuisance neighbors had moved out.

But I'm planning to move tho even if I have everything I need here. I want challenges (nah, I'm still living with my parents and I want to move tbh 🫠 )

We have a small orchard with 18 fruit trees, including year round oranges, lemons, grapefruit and mandarins. We grow herbs and veggies.
We have our own well and a grid-tied solar voltaic system.
We've been here for 22 years and our mortgage is way cheaper than renting an apartment.00 Reply
