Why do some people have phone conversations in public?

Like calls etc. Not even through headphones or anything. And sometimes even on speaker. I just don't understand it and would like some other perspectives

I would say it’s wrong to judge a situation you are not involved in. I had a bunch of racist white people mock me to my face for yelling over the phone during my lunch break at work but my dad was trying to prevent me from going to work the next day and if I did not subdue his stubbornness he might go to the boss without my permission and force me to quit against my will cause he has a history of violating my freedom of choice and association and dignity and conscience. I needed my bosses job reference cause it was my first job after finishing university but my dad only thinks in the short term and decided I should not work later that week.

That's so disrespectful! I don't understand that either. Couldn't just they wait until they get home?
I guess they think everyone should listen to their conversation and they forget they're in a public space.
