How do you feel holding traffic up?

You're driving along a road, perhaps in a slow-moving vehicle, or perhaps you're actually doing the speed limit. You look in your rear view mirror and see a long convoy of cars stuck behind you with no means of overtaking. It's not possible for you to pull in the side, and why should you anyway?

But how do you feel?

Sod them, I'm not doing anything wrong.

I'm helping them keep to the limit so they're probably grateful

I HATE slow drivers!
I can understand if they are in a vehicle like a truck or mobile home that can't go any faster. But if there is a line of cars behind them, it is their duty to let them pass at the soonest opportunity.

There is no excuse for a person in a regular car on a highway to not keep up with traffic or not to drive at least 5mph over the speed limit when the highway is clear. Those people are inconsiderate and incompetent. Their behavior actually contributes to more traffic accidents.

What I hate the most are people on two lane or multi-lane highways who drive in the fast lane with nobody in front of them and go the same speed as the cars in the slow lane so that no one can pass. They deliberately block traffic. Those people need to be driven into a ditch.

Funny story. I attended a driving class to get a speeding ticket off my record. There was a guy there who was fuming over having been ticketed for impeding traffic.

Come to find out, he had been on the 405 fwy in Los Angeles during evening rush hour. He got in the fast lane and set his cruise to the speed limit because he wanted to see how long it took him to get home, compared to moving along with traffic above the speed limit.

The freeway was apparently fairly clear in front of him. But it was a parking lot behind him. He didn't give a fuck.

A motorcycle cop saw what the problem was, pulled him over, and gave him a ticket.

I know on the autobahn, it's illegal to drive in the fast lane if you are blocking faster vehicles. That's how it should be.

When faced with the task of transporting substantial cargo, I opt for the capable hands of a filthy, uneducated redneck to handle the physical demands. However, when it comes to personal transportation from one location to another, I insist on the unparalleled sophistication and performance of a Mercedes, ensuring not only a comfortable and smooth journey but also maintaining a certain distance from unfamiliar company. First of all I drive the speed limit, period the end, I am sorry. Second though if I have people getting too close or acting crazy I will try to get away from them, for example turn into a gas station and wait until I can’t see them anymore and get back on the road.

When I have to drive slow (think old Land Rover defender) then you just do it, we have loads of tractors in East Anglia and loads of narrow roads, that means you need patience or you become patients. What I do hate are those who jam up too close as they leave no room for anyone to overtake, this just means it’s not only a slow moving vehicle, it’s also the 6 cars driving bumper to bumper.

For the last past two weeks I've been working out of town in a small town and coming back and forth to my home to that town if there's people coming up behind me I pull over before I would probably be driving faster than I am but I'm going 5 to 10 miles over the speed limit anyway but yeah nowadays I just pull over and let them go not a big deal

I never hold up traffic. In fact, I want a car with a dashboard button that controls a gigantic fist that extends out violently so I can calmly and routinely punch vehicles out of my way.
