Yes, sometimes I just wish there was some virus that could be unleashed on the world to cull the excess population. Nothing gross, preferably something quick and relatively painless. Preferably symptom-free so people wouldn't bother the hospitals.

Of course you need someone with a van to go door-to-door yelling "Bring out your dead!"

An even more vexing problem relating to traffic is the humongous number of people who are driving Uber and Lyft now. In Chicago, they're coming from Wisconsin and Western Illinois every weekend, to work the drunk strip... everything will have been closed for hours, and you've still got all these maniacs racing through the streets, trying to get that last ride.

As much as possible, we try to find routes that have FasTrak lanes.

With FasTrak, we can cut driving time by a significant amount.

Otherwise, I'd/we'd also be crawling like everyone else.

I did when I lived in a busy area. Now that I've moved it's not as bad since I live in a smaller town

Most traffic here is caused from the Amish with their horse and buggy. They made my kids late to school twice now lol

If I time it well and bother to get out of bed, I can get to work half an hour each way. 'tis bearable. If I was to travel into the city it would be an hour and a half each day. Talk about selling your soul.

Anyway, they need to change the nature of work. More flexibility, more working from home. They need to compress the working week to 4 days in my opinion.

More to life than work. And the economy is fucked anyway. Economic growth has been elusive for the best part of 20 years. 'tis a false metric to base anything off anyway. The system is clearly failed.
