How do you deal with horrible traffic?

Lol well… you can see another guy walking down there.
Catch the scenery. Record and commentate on the situation. Listen to music. BLAST THE MUSIC 💥
take a nap, and wait for someone to honk at you lol
make silly faces in the car
watch yt? Scroll through social media
talk to an imaginary passenger lol (freak everybody out)
stand out and drop a flag, as a joke that you all are racing 😂
just listen to stuff while you wait, mostly.
Stuff like:
Comedy/ podcasts/ lo-fi/ asmrs/ sports commentary/ yt bloggers/ other people cussi mmmh in traffic lol
Etc. 🤓👌
The one time I ever drove on the interstate or in heavy traffic, I was so scared and having a mini breakdown lmao..
I try to avoid it as much as possible

Audiobooks are great options. You can get them at no cost from your local library. They have them on CDs, or you can download digital files. I do all my reading while I drive. It makes the time pass much faster.
Go through these lists and see if anything stands out to you:

Excellent suggestion, caring__1
I worked for 30 years as a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser, which meant that I drove from one location to another all day inspecting damaged vehicles at homes, body shops, junk yards, etc.
For my last 5 or 6 years, I lived in a rural area and drove long distances to my assignments.
I began checking out audio books on CD from the library. I could go through three or more books a week.
After selecting books that struck my interest, I eventually started checking out all kinds of genres. I probably listened to 300 books a year. And I really enjoyed some of the books. A good narrator makes all the difference.
My wife and I used to listen to audio books when we took long driving trips. They made time fly.
A couple of series that we loved were "The Number 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" and the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. The narrators were so fun!
I read a lot of non-fiction, but @caring__1 is right about the advantage of listening to fiction in the car. Fiction is very entertaining and you don't have to focus your mind on it while listening.
I try to avoid traffic whenever I can. That means leaving for work earlier than I need to, and leaving work either earlier or later than rush hour. Plus, work from home whenever I can. And, if I can, take mass transit (rail in particular) to get around the city.
I'm pretty chill about it. Most of the time, I'm just jamming to music.
On rare occasions, I get annoyed and cuss a little lol.
Ovoid it at all costs lol. I seriously stay away from busy cities. I prefer small towns.
Smoke a cigarette and start a conversation with the driver, That’s if I was on an Uber.
I live in Los Angeles - you plan to leave very late, or very early.
I live in SOcal I'm sure your traffic isn't as worse as what I deal with but I just wait
I got a new job closer to my house
