It's necessary sometimes depending on the situation. Someone you know in person might require some sort of closure, but i am not giving closure to guys online who act pervy or creepy after being asked to stop or with me deflecting at every opportunity. I will straight up ghost someone in that situation. I don't need to waste my time explaining myself again after they've ignored me the first time.

Unless the person is dangerous, I can’t see a situation where ghosting is necessary right away. Always explain yourself. If they keep bothering you, then it’s ok to block and ghost them.
