This is the second time in my life a guy say I've ghosted him when it's not true. Why make that up? Always when I've asked for space for us both as there is nothing new to the table how to resolve an issue and I think we be better off time apart to think things through. I've heard it through others and I've heard it to my face by a guy later on that I ghosted him.

Some peoples idea of ghosting is not responding in five minutes. If you directly asked for space… That isn’t ghosting or if you directly said you want to end the relationship or whatever. Not ghosting.
Ghosting means just not replying without a explanation. It’s cowardly… And even if he feels like you are ghosting. Why focus on it? Quite simply move on I don’t get why people get so attached to a person who doesn’t matter.
Now, are you asking for space because genuinely you don’t know where ten relationships may go in the future. Sometimes taking a break (in early relationships not so much late ones) you can see them again and feel attracted. But sometimes people need time to figure it out.
Or are you asking because you just genuinely don’t want to see someone anymore in that case. It’s better to be direct and end things. If in the future you change your mind be direct maybe he has moved on maybe not. People move on over breaks too.
When I say breaks. I mean in the dating stages before anything is committed I don’t mean in committed relationships.
Anyways, if you tend to end conversations abruptly some people see that as rude or ghosting. I mean you wouldn’t walk away from a conversation in real life just the middle of talking without saying. Goodbye… So that’s weird to some. Same on the phone. Sometimes you fall asleep or something happens. But other then that.
I feel like ghosting is one of those phrases that get misused all the time. That could be the case here, and in his mind a woman losing interest equates to being ghosted.
Ghosting is one of the most overused phrases these days. In reality, it rarely happens.
