Why does autocorrect keep changing 'not' to 'it' when I type correctly?

Why does autocorrect keep changing not to it when I type correctly?

Almost every time I'm typing in GaG, when I type the three characters N O T, autocorrect almost always changes it to I T.

Does anyone know why it does that? It's frustrating to always have to change it, and sometimes I don't notice it and the "it" gets in the text, where it makes no sense.

"I do it like this." <<<<<<< See, autocorrect just did it to me. I typed" I do not like this."

Only thing I can think of is that the I and O keys are right next to each other, autocorrect thinks I'm hitting I instead of O, and it likes IT better than NIT, in the grammar context of what I'm typing.
